The Roanoke Conference wants every registrant to feel the weekend was worth attending. If your plans change, here is exactly what happens to your money.
Asking for a refund
Email info@roanokeconference.org with the name on the registration and the confirmation code from your receipt. A board member will reply to confirm before anything is refunded.
The card processing fee is not returned
When you pay by card, the payment processor charges a fee of 2.9% of the payment plus 30 cents. That fee is taken at the moment of payment and the processor does not return it when a payment is refunded.
The Roanoke Conference is a volunteer-run non-profit and does not absorb that cost. Any refund is therefore the amount you paid less the processing fee on your payment. On a $250 registration the fee is $7.55, so the refund would be $242.45.
The exact fee for your payment is shown on the refund confirmation we email you.
Two cases where you get everything back
- If we cancel the conference, every registration is refunded in full, processing fee included. That cost is ours, not yours.
- If we charged you in error, the full amount comes back.
Transferring instead of refunding
A registration may be transferred to another person at no cost, which avoids the processing fee entirely. Email us the new attendee's name and email address and we will move it across. This is usually the better option for everyone.
Timing
Refunds are returned to the card used to pay. Once issued, most banks show the money within five to ten business days. That timing is the bank's, not ours, and we cannot speed it up.
Tickets bought at the door or by check
Payments made by check or in person are refunded by check, in full, since no card processing fee was charged on them.
